At Sunlight Woodenworks, we are proud of the quality, design and construction of our cabinets. We make every effort to ensure that our products conform to our specifications. To show our commitment to our products and customers, Sunlight Woodenworks warrants its products to the original purchaser with a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and conditions. This warranty begins upon the date of delivery and installation and is in effect for as long as you own and live in your home in which the product is installed. Should any of our products fail due to defects in material or workmanship under normal use within this period, Sunlight Woodenworks will, at its own discretion, repair or replace the defective part(s). This warranty is only applicable to products used in residential applications and is not transferable.

Our custom cabinets are custom finished by hand, not in a large automated manufacturing plant. Because of this custom craftsmanship, individual finished parts and pieces can vary slightly in appearance and this slight variance is not considered a manufacturing defect in materials and workmanship.

Our cabinets are manufactured for use in interior residential applications and our warranty excludes garages and/or other exterior applications. Any warranty claims made are limited to replacement product only. Sunlight Woodenworks reserves the right to substitute similar product for warranty issues on discontinued products. Our warranty is void on any products altered or repaired by unauthorized labor.

This warranty will not apply to cabinets damaged by misuse, neglect, abuse, exposure to moisture, exposure to extreme temperatures, or the effects of normal wear and tear. This warranty is not valid for products used for any purpose other than the purpose for which they were originally intended.

Natural woods, even from trees of the same species, may differ in color, texture and graining. Solid wood and veneer products may exhibit subtle changes from the original tone or color over time as it ages. Natural and painted finishes will at times vary in color tone and grain characteristics. Painted doors, drawer fronts and other painted parts may eventually have visible cracking around the joint areas. These changes may be accelerated or intensified by sunlight, smoke, artificial light, household cleaners, moisture, extreme temperatures, and other environmental conditions, and such conditions may eventually cause the wood to warp, split or crack. These variations are considered the natural characteristics of the material in relation to their environment and normal wear and tear and are not covered under this warranty.

In addition, all hinges and drawer slides used in the manufacture of Sunlight Woodenworks cabinetry products are warranted by the manufacturer of the hinges and slides for the lifetime of the product. This warranty is passed to the original consumer from the manufacturer and is subject to the conditions outlined above.

Should defects in material or workmanship exist during the warranty period, Sunlight Woodenworks will elect at its discretion to either repair or replace the defective material or component. This warranty covers only parts and materials of the products supplied by Sunlight Woodenworks.

The repair(s) or replacement(s) of our products are contingent upon availability of the items. If a warranty claim is filed after a product has been discontinued or modified, Sunlight Woodenworks reserves the right to honor the warranty as follows:
1.To repair or replace the affected component with a new component of the same style.
2.To repair or replace the component with a similar or comparable product to achieve a similar appearance to the original product purchased.
If components are replaced, Sunlight Woodenworks cannot guarantee the exact finish match to the existing product. This is due to color calibration adjustments and the natural aging process of wood and coatings. Colors will be matched as closely as possible. Sunlight Woodenworks reserves the right to substitute parts of like quality if a substantially identical replacement part is unavailable.

This warranty does not apply to the mellowing or aging of wood products due to photo-degradation (the effect of natural and artificial light to woods and finishes) of the products’ finished appearance. It does not apply to our products or any part thereof which has been subjected to accident, negligence, alteration, abuse, misuse, improper storage, damage from exposure to extremes in temperature and/or humidity or normal wear and tear. Painted products may have visible cracking around the joint areas. This is considered a natural characteristic of wood as it expands and contracts with changes in humidity and temperature and is not covered under these warranties. Because some glues and other adhesives used in the manufacturing process can be subject to failure when in contact with excessive heat and/or moisture, precautions must be taken to eliminate this possibility.

Sunlight Woodenworks makes no other warranty of any kind – express or implied – including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Sunlight Woodenworks shall have no liability or responsibility to the customer or any other person or entity with respect to any liability, loss or damage caused directly or indirectly by use or performance of the product or arising out of any breach of this warranty, including, but not limited to, any damages resulting from inconvenience, loss of time, property, income, or any indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages, even if Sunlight Woodenworks has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
